This package includes the BS 53.2 bookshelfs, FS 58.2 Floorstanders and CC 51.2 centre speaker.
Those mindful of price, but still looking for superb sound quality will find the ELAC 50.2 Series highly suitable. With their straightforward design and front baffles in satin black paint the models of the 50.2 Series become real eye catchers. Cabinets finishes of Black Ash or Cherry together with semi gloss metal grilles complete the package – simply neat!
Bi-Wiring
For those interested in the extra detail of treble and bass performance by using separate wires or amplifiers, the ELAC bi-wiring terminal offers a convenient solution which is easy to access.
High-quality terminals with easily accessible inclined and gilded binding posts are also suitable for larger cable cross sections (16 mm²) as well as for high-quality spade ends (e.g. WBT products).
Fabric Dome Tweeter
Even at higher volumes, the fabric dome tweeter always provides a smooth audio experience.
Transparent sound is reproduced by this 25 mm tweeter consisting of a coated silk dome resulting in a smooth roll off at frequencies above 20,000 Hz without noticeable resonances. A special wave-guide together with the protection grille results its wide dispersion characteristics.
Its extraordinary power handling capacity is resulting from two design features: the compact high efficiency neodymium magnetic system with cooling fins and the aluminium voice coil cooled by ferro-fluid. Additionally, the magnetic system is shielded. Due to the new faceplate (back high gloss) only the tweeter grille and woofer diaphragm are visible, the kick of the new 60.2 Series.

Designed with attention to detail: the metal front grilles are mounted with unbreakable metal pins held by rubber grommets in the cabinet – simple and trouble free.
These loudspeakers are equipped with stable metal grilles which on the one side change the appearance of the speakers noticeably and on the other side protect the drivers at the bafflse from damages being induced by children or pets.
Bass Reflex Ports
Flare on both sides, the bass reflex ports prevent unwanted ventilation noises. A special feature are the ELAC proprietary bass ports. As if from the wind tunnel, the double flare port has been designed so as to minimize ventilation noises and to reduce friction losses.
Bass-Control
Closing the bass reflex ports compensates for unfavourable acoustic conditions when speakers are installed, for example, close to a wall. The sound of loudspeakers is heavily influenced by room-acoustics. In some cases the room shape and especially the furnishings offer less than ideal conditions for the optimum set-up of the loudspeakers, sometimes resulting in bass reproduction which is too strong.
When loudspeakers are used close to walls or in small rooms and the bass is too prominent the ELAC Bass Control plug can be used to improve the bass reproduction by reducing the low frequency output.
Just insert one or both of the supplied ELAC Bass Control plugs into the bass ports on your loudspeakers until the bass is at the correct level relative to the midrange and treble.
ELAC vented loudspeakers use bass reflex tubes with different lengths and diameters (45, 59, 60, 62 or 70 mm).

M6 Spikes
Prevents speakers from slipping on carpet and sensitive surfaces: the M6 spike with spike shoes. Ideal for all speakers with M6 thread inserts.
The floorstanders of this series are offered with a robust base and insert nuts for spikes to provide improved stability. Furthermore the delivery contains spike washers to protect e.g. your parquet floor.
