AQUAEL AQUA FLORAN is a light mineral substrate of very high porosity. AQUAELAQUA FLORAN does not release into the water any toxic substances or those that can change the water colour or transparency. It is recommended to use a layer of 1,5-2 cm deep covered with a 3 cm layer of rinsed gravel.
The porous structure of the substrate improves the water circulation in the area of plants’ roots and allows the plants to take in mineral compounds without any constraints. At the same time it is an ideal substrate for beneficial nitrifying bacteria that oxygenate ammonia and nitrites that are dangerous for the fish. Furthermore, it prevents the creation of anaerobic zones in deeper parts of the substrate that can potentially decrease water quality. Facilitates rooting of the freshly planted plants. Recommended for typical ornamental tanks.
One package of 4l capacity is enough to set up a standard tank of 40 cm length. It remains active for many years and does not require supplementation.
