I gave some to a friend to try in her rats' litter potty and she is extremely impressed! She was using some other expensive litter but was concerned about chemicals and it wasn't really economical either. She is now going to get her own bag of Burgess Excel. Tried this for my Dwarf hamster, but he really didn't taken to it as potty litter material. He still prefers his fine sand to potty and bathe in. I have placed it in his dish below the water bottle to absorb any drips and this works well. The pellets are too big as bedding for such a little creature, however, it works well to line the bottom of the cage and then top with shavings or paper bedding. It may work better as potty litter for Syrians? Would definitely be good at the bottom of cages with guinea pigs and bunnies to reduce those urine odours.

Wonderful product this litter - used to put paper in the tray beneath their night time hutch and had to change and clean it daily - with this litter I just freshen it up and its cleaner and drier for them - amazing

I buy this for my Guinea Pigs as I have a litter tray for them and it keeps them clean and drier for longer plus they tend to keep their fleece bedding clean too. Wonderful product.
