Feed your companion approximately as much as they want each day, as TOP’s Parrot Pellets are a natural source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients for a happy and healthy parrot. Naturally preserved with Rosemary, Rose Hips, Lemon and Orange Peel and are non GMO.

What is the difference between natural and artificial Vitamin D?
There is natural Vitamin D and artificial Vitamin D. The Vitamin D in most pellets is artificial. When taking artificial Vitamin D you need to increase the liquid intake, meaning you have to drink more which is difficult to get a parrot to do. The Vitamin D in TOP’s pellets is provided by seaweeds and alfalfa, which are natural forms of Vitamin D. From this natural form of the Vitamin D the body can absorb as much as it needs and no increased drinking is necessary and therefore no danger of kidney damage.
Feeding Guidelines:
TOP's pellets are formulated as a complimentary diet. Feed approximately as much as your bird will consume in a day. Some days birds will eat more than others so the amount will fluctuate. Discard the remainder and feed fresh pellets each time. Consult your avian veterinarian if you have any specific diet related concerns. Although an excellent source of protein, vitamins and minerals, TOPs believe that no pellet can provide 100 percent of a bird’s nutritional needs. Please be sure to offer them vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds for a varied diet.
TOP's products are packed in consumer grade retail bags and contain oxygen absorbers to extend shelf life for more than 12 months. This process is different than vacuum sealing so some bags may contain more natural atmospheric volume than others and may be less formed than other bags.
Why Don't TOPs Use Soy, Peanuts or Wheat In Their Pellets?
Here's why TOP's Parrot Food pellets do not contain soy, peanuts or wheat:
Soy
Soybeans in their natural state contain large quantities of natural toxins and there is data that soy is cumulatively toxic when fed to animals. For example, The PARROT SOCIETY NEW ZEALAND claims that soy products in bird food have caused such problems as immune system breakdown, failure of organs and multiplication of the birds’ own benign bacteria.
Peanuts
It seems that more and more birds develop allergic reactions to peanuts, so we view them as a great treat for birds that are not allergic to them, but not part of their daily diet.
Wheat
Wheat is a common allergen and contains about 80 different components that can cause a negative reaction.
Other pellets on the market contain fillers such as corn, soy, peanuts, added minerals and added artificial vitamins. TOP's contains only real food ingredients.

TOPS is the best, with 250 rescue birds in our sanctuary with huge health problems like fatty liver disease we have managed to help them overcome this illness, we've had great success in changing over from the commercial brands and with such ease and can see a huge difference in their agrresive behaviour as well.

Ever since I learned about proper parrot nutrition, I have wanted to feed Tops pellets. Unfortunately it does come with a bit of a price tag, but is well worth it if you can afford this product! My 3 greys took a long time to transition to this pellet from another, but once I eventually removed the other pellet brand, they ate solely Tops with no problems. If I add any other pellet to make the Tops go further, they will select the other pellet (including Roudybush), which makes me think Tops is not the tastiest pellet to the birds. Tops is still my first choice for my flock since it is organic, cold pressed and lacks soy/wheat. Pet habitat always runs specials on this product and is the most affordable I have found.

I love Tops pellets! They are the healthiest pellets on the market for your bird, you just have to look at the ingredient list to see and my birds love them! It was quick and easy to order from Pet Habitat, it arrived fast delivered straight to my door! Will definitely continue to order from them from now on.
