I have a pretty large enclosure for my rabbits so the product was a bit expensive to cover it. However, the rabbits certainly seemed to enjoy it and were more comfortable cuddling up in the Carefresh litter. I used it a week ago and the enclosure was much much easier to clean and wasn't nearly as smelly. I would certainly recommend it.

Two of my buns just refuse to potty train. I have tried everything, believe me when I say: everything! I've read online about carefresh, especially on the international forums people rave about it, and I wished I could get my hands on some, but obviously can't afford importing it myself. So imagine my absolute delight when Pethabitat announced they'd started stocking it. Yay!!

So I put some in an extra litterbox in my two stinkybums' room, and they prefer sleeping on that all day long, instead of on any of their other proper sleepytime furniture. Seeing as my problem with them is that they tend to pee where they sleep, this translates to no more oopsies outside of the litterbox. Problem: solved.

So after been extremely skeptical regarding bedding for rats, I decided that I would give CareFresh a trial run. I found that one package allows me to provide bedding or litter substrate for 3 rat penthouses or mansions.. The trial period was for 2 weeks with spot cleaning during the course of the period. Outcome was... Smell reduced significantly, still a little messy as the rats kicked some out the cages.. Although that was expected.. Yet easy to clean up.. Food could still be scattered to encourage foraging for the tasty treats and this was done in a separate dish, so that husks and shells could be removed every second to third day.. A product well worth the value attached to it.. My recommendation for this product is high scoring... End result.. One bag would last 6 weeks for an owner with a penthouse or mansion cage.. And longer for an owner with one or two furry family members...

Carefresh bedding is excellent. My hamster loves it so much to dig in and to nest with. The bedding is dust free and absorbs moisture well.

Carefresh Natural Paper Bedding is real value for money. It's stays cleaner and fresher for longer than wood shavings and (as my hamster is potty trained) I can clean it and reuse the bulk of the bedding, so it is actually real cost effective.
It's also great for Einstein's allergies and he doesn't sneeze nearly as much as he did before I changed over.
I will never use anything but Carefresh ever again.
Both hamsters love to burrow in it too and I really like using it as it doesn't contain sharp bits or splinters that could hurt my hammies.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Pet Habitat, placed the order late thursday afternoon and had the package with me on monday. I will definitely be buying from them again!

My guinea pigs love the carefresh natural paper bedding - it's soft for them to lie on and it lasts much longer than wood-based litter. Whenever I clean their cage the first thing they do is spend about 5 minutes popping all over the cage and Max rummages around in the litter to make a bed to his liking.

Love this brown/natural Carefresh. Not just because it's cheaper than the other colours or that it fits in with my hamster's natural themed habitat, but I find it softer and somehow cosier than the others. Been using Carefresh since you guys first brought it into SA, and never looked back. Lasts so long if you have your habby set up correctly. Just got the whopper of a 60L pack that'll probably outlast my hamster. Best product to have happened to a rodent in SA!!!!!!

An excellent product - we use it for our rabbits, chinchillas and even our tenrecs. We have just ordered an extra large amount to keep our little guys clean and happy for winter

Really impressed with it. The large unit lasted for longer than I expected. Nice and soft, was using amaizing corn litter, but it was really scratchy (especially for my old lady rat), and this keeps them dry , and I soft enough for them to use as bedding too

Great product. Works as well as promised. The smell in the cage has drastically been reduced. 5 days in and its still great. Usually i cant go past day 2 without changing the bedding. Would definitely recommend.

My hamster is so much healthier since I started using Carefresh. The cage is also cleaner and there is virtually no odor at all! I have now ordered more and will be using Carefresh for my guinea pigs as well. Thank you Pet Habitat for your brilliant service as always!

Works great for a dwarf hamster. Easy to burrow in. 14L bag is a huge volume for a small cage. It will last a while.

Carefesh paper bedding for rats is a wonderful product! It absorbs odours very well, and is completely dust free! Also good value for money - the 30L bag contains much bedding and will last long.

Great product for hamsters and lasts longer than 10 days with no smell. Will never consider another product
