Provide your small pet with a soft, safe, clean, dry home derived from 100% reclaimed natural fiber. Perfect for hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets.
Instructions:
Apply 1-3" of bedding to your pet's home. Remove damp spots or soiled areas between changes and replace with fresh bedding.
Clean the cage completely once a week by scrubbing the bottom of the cage and soiled accessories with warm water and a gentle soap and replacing dirty litter and bedding.
Rinse and dry everything completely before returning it to the cage.

Used the Carefresh last night for the first time ever! Really like this stuff :) Much more comfortable feeling, not to mention there's less risk of infections, than wood shavings. It may be somewhat pricier than shavings, but if your hamster is fairly potty trained or just pees in one corner, one pack could last for quite a few cage cleans if you re-use most of the clean Carefresh from the top, and just top-up with fresh bedding (hamsters like retaining the scent of their homes, anyway). I used about 1/3 of the pack, but we do have a pretty large cage! Mushroom is a clean hamster - uses her sand baths to pee in and I have her bedroom inside another box so it catches her poops before they go into the cage - so I reckon mine will last a few months. Therefore, it's not such a bad price if spread out over time. Is there a price you can put on your pet's health anyway? Carefresh should be the top recommended bedding for hamsters in SA from now on!
