This year, AQUAEL celebrated its 30th anniversary at INTERZOO 2014, which was held in Nuremberg, Germany between May 29th and June 1st, where they presented their latest innovative new products.

Visitors were shown the new OXYBOOST PLUS aerators that are even quieter and more reliable than their predecessors; the tiny FZN MINI internal filters specially designed for small aquariums; the exclusive GLOSSY aquarium sets that combine unmatched stylishness with high functionality (e.g. one can easily install additional lighting units in the tank); and the power-saving LEDDY SMART aquarium sets.

Great interest was also aroused by product modifications: the upgraded line of the SHRIMP SET SMART aquarium sets designed for shrimps and small fish and equipped with the energy-efficient LEDDY SMART lamp based on LED technology and the large REEFMAX XL marine aquarium set with LED lighting built into the lid.

Three new nano aquariums called SHRIMP SET SMART, equipped with new Aquael LED lamps LEDDY. From right to left - Shrimp Set Smart 10 (20x20x25 cm), Shrimp Set Smart 20 (25x25x30 cm), Shrimp Set Smart 30 (29x29x35 cm). Plants used in these tanks are: Eleocharis parvula, Hygrophila pinnatifida, Microsorum pteropus. M. pteropus "Trident", Anubias nana.

The new Aquael aquarium set, called "GLOSSY", because the cabinet and the "cover" have glossy surface. The GLOSSY aquarium showed in video is Glossy 120 tank, dimensions 120x43x60 cm (the last one is height). You can see how narrow the aquarium is when shown the sideview (02:07) - yet, the composition is very skillfully done, as the tank doesn't look "flat" from the front. The designer is Paweł Mielniczak. Plants used in this layout are Microsorum pteropus "Trident", Anubias sp., and some clumps of Eleocharis parvula here and there.

Another Glossy 120 tank arranged by Paweł Mielniczak, a black version was also on display. This layout is the opposite to the previous one, as the driftwood is located on sides of the tank, not in the center . Plants used are Anubias sp., Hygrophila pinnatifida, Vallisneria sp., Microsorum pteropus "Trident", Microsorum pteropus, and some clumps of Eleocharis parvula.

There was also a large marine aquarium called the REEF MASTER XL on display (dimensions 100x70x55 cm - the last on is height). I really like proportions of this tank - it's wide and not too high, which gives lots of space and numerous possibilities for arranging the rocks, good access of corals to light, and lots of space for fish to swim around.

This aquarium was arranged by Polish aquarium shop http://allerafa.pl. Fish used in this tank are: Zebrasoma flavescens, Paracanthurus hepatus, Amphiprion ocellaris, Zebrasoma desjardini (I think - the black and white striped one, with whitish-yellow tail), Zoramia leptacantha and Chrysiptera parasema.

The new AQUAEL products will be available in South Africa in November 2014 at selected aquarium speciality stores.
